After the last nude photoshoot at the Kentucky farm house, we cruised through the Kentucky backroads with the windows down without a care in the world….then after passing through I recounted in my mind, sweet fucking Jesus, this abandoned house in Kentucky I saw down the road from the farmhouse was pretty sweet! I think we were too ready to eat dinner by the time we considered turning around to photograph this amazing architectural gem! I knew I’d be back in that area soon to visit a friend who lives around there, so I figured I’d give it the attention it deserved instead of after a long shoot when hungry, lol.
I had a couple special friends with me, and we pulled up by a cow field, almost as if the cows looked at us and spotted us as carnivores. It was early evening and the sun was still out, the wind was blowing and you could hear nothing except the wind. That feeling of freedom and simplicity we all need sometimes. There it sat. Here’s a house that was once a home. For whatever reason, it became uninhabited, and has been for years. I bet the neighbors pass by and think, someone needs to knock that eyesore down. The outside world has forsaken it’s character, but we haven’t 🙂
Complete with giant dish from the 80’s, LOL!
Now, to go inside and hope we didn’t fall through the floor! Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
It was amazing how this mirror was in perfect shape while everything around it was deteriorating.
We walked through the hallway to what once was the kitchen, and a ceiling board fell as a raccoon ran across it!
It was so cool to see how the curtains were blowing in the breeze, was almost eery, and of course warranted a photo 🙂
Now back to the outside, as the sun sat lower in the sky!
Even the tree in the front yard was creepy 🙂
The wind picked up and the sun began to fade.
There was even an old van in a wooded area beside the house, MINT! I hope you’ve enjoyed these! There may be a model for this location in the future, who knows? All shot with Fuji XT-1 and Fuji 23mm 1.4.
